Marcus has spent 12 years doing two things seriously: writing software and playing guitar. While most people pick one lane, he context-switches between them daily, thriving in both analytical and creative environments. Parallel to his successful corporate career in tech, his time in the music industry has taken him places he never dreamed of. His musical approach has landed him incredible opportunities both domestic and international, as he's been able to perform on festival stages across the country, headline engagements abroad, and open for artists he grew up listening to. He currently plays lead guitar for the breakout country artist Don Louis, performs at luxury events with AURA, and plays guitar at multiple local churches in DFW.

Marcus considers Paul Reed Smith to be the "Steve Jobs" of guitars: a founder who never delegated the details, who treats manufacturing as a design problem, and who ships instruments that are consistent because the process behind them is.
Santana with a PRS. The guitar didn't read as equipment, it read as part of the music. But Marcus couldn't afford one back in the day.
His family pooled what they could and bought him an SE 245. It was real money for his family. years later it's still in the rotation, and it set the standard.
5 PRS guitars, bought one at a time as the work grew — three Core, two SE. They've held up through festival main stages, a ten-day run in Greece, and a Texas circuit that never lets up.

From 2021 to 2025, Marcus served as Music Director at Converge Church in McKinney. As of 2026, he also plays guitar at Concord Church in Dallas — a 10,000-member congregation with a music ministry that's highly regarded across the Metroplex.
